YK College observes 52nd foundation day

Thoubal, October 28 2024: The 52nd foundation day of Yangambam Kumar (YK) College was observed today at the Multipurpose Hall of the College located at Wangjing.

The function was graced by Hidangmayum Amujao Sharma, retd Associate Professor, English Department, YK College as the chief guest; Professor Soibam Giri, Principal, YK College as the functional president and Yangambam Ibemhal Devi, spouse of College founder Yangambam Biren; Dr Soibam Bihari, former Principal and Nongmaithem Manikchand and retd Associate Professor, Department of Education as the guests of honour.

Led by the dignitaries, the gathering offered floral tributes on the portraits of the College founders.

A 2-minute silence was also observed in their honour.

O Binoykumar, Head, Physics Department, YK College presented a shawl each to the founder members of the College.
