Counselling, awareness programme held

A 1-day awareness programme on "Know Haemophilia, Save Lives" was conducted today at the Primary Health Sub Centre, Naharup Makha Pat under the Haemophilia Patient Assistance Programme (HPAP) of Intas Foundation Imphal.
The programme focused on enhancing haemophilia awareness among Asha workers and community women of the area.
During the event, Heisnam Deni Singh, HPAP counsellor, Intas Foundation Imphal, delivered an informative PowerPoint presentation covering early identification, common signs and symptoms, and the critical role of frontline health workers in detecting and supporting suspected haemophilia cases.
The Asha workers actively interacted during the session, cleared their doubts, and expressed gratitude for the initiative, acknowledging that such awareness efforts will help them better serve the community.
Similarly, a 1-day State level awareness programme on "Gender based violence and elimination of violence against women" was held yesterday at the Seminar Hall, Department of Manipuri, Manipur University, Canchipur.
The programme was jointly organised by the State PC-PNDT Cell, Directorate of Family Welfare Services and NHM Manipur in collaboration with the Department of Manipuri, Manipur University.
The programme was conducted as part of the awareness campaign on International Day for Elimination of Violence Against Women.
It was attended by about 150 students, research scholars and teachers of the Department of Manipuri, Manipur University.
Moreover, Srivan Higher Secondary School organised a counselling programme on "Academic Motivational Enhancement of Students and Teachers" at its premises in Luwangsangbam, Imphal yesterday.
The counselling was conducted by Dr RK Lenin, Professor, Department of Psychiatry, Regional Institute of Medical Sciences (RIMS), Imphal.
The programme witnessed the active participation of the teachers and students of the school.
Srivan Higher Secondary School's Principal I Usharani along with parents of the students were also present at the event.
