Kwakta blast Court reserves charge order

The Special Court of NIA on Thursday reserved the charge order against Noor Hussain and Seiminlun Gangte, the two accused in the Kwakta IED bast case of June 21, 2023 .
The charge order was kept reserved after considering the charges levelled by the NIA in its charge sheet against Seiminlun Gangte, s/o (L) Paokhokai Gangte of Phaikholum J Muntha village in Churachandpur and presently lodged in Tihar Jail and Md Noor Hussain @ Tomba, s/o (L) Md Babu of Kwakta Ward Number 8 presently lodged in Manipur Central Jail Sajiwa.
Only the counsel of accused Md Noor Hussain was present before the Court during the charge hearing.
Both Md Noor Hussain and Seiminlun Gangte were produced before the Court through video conferencing from Manipur Central Jail Sajiwa and Tihar Jail respectively.
During the course of investigation accused Seiminlun Gangte was arrested by a team of NIA from Churachandpur district in connection with a case related to a transnational conspiracy by Myanmar and Bangladesh based leadership of terror outfit to wage a war against the Government of India by exploiting the current ethnic unrest in the State of Manipur .
On further course of investigation alleged accused Md Noor Hussain @ Tomba was arrested by a team of NIA from Badirpar Part 4, Silchar, Assam on October 16 last year .
The Court after hearing the submission of Special PP of NIA and counsel Md Noor Hussain reserved the order of the charge hearing till July 12 .
The charge sheet of the case was submitted on April 12 last by the Chief Investigating Officer of NIA Imphal Branch.
