Kurao Herbal Private Limited gets Manipur's first Ayush drug license

Imphal, March 26 2026: Kurao Herbal Private Limited, based in Yaiskul, has become the first companyin Manipur to receive an Ayush drug manufacturing license from the State Ayush Drugs Licensing Authority, Directorate of Ayush, Manipur.

This significant achievement was announced by Dr N Hemanta, Assistant Drug Controller & Expert Committee (ASU & H), Directorate of AYUSH, Government of Manipur, during a product launch event today.

The event, held at the Banquet Hall of Hotel Yaiphaba in MG Avenue, marked the official launch of two new Ayurvedic products: Ginger Massage Oil and TIL TAILA Sesame Oil.

Dr Hemanta emphasized that the license for these oils was granted only after the company fulfilled numerous criteria and followed strict rules and regulations, including rigorous testing of raw materials and end products in a Ministry of Ayush-approved laboratory.

Officials present at the launch stressed the importance for the public to be vigilant when purchasing Ayush products, especially those brought in from outside the State.

Consumers should check for a valid license number, manufacturing date, and expiration date on all products.

The newly launched Kurao Herbal products have been thoroughly tested and declared safe for public use.

The event saw the participation of several dignitaries, including Dr Akoijam Lokendro, Director, Ayush & State Ayush Drug Licensing Authority; Johny Elangbam, proprietor of Kurao Private Limited; Dr S Bishwanath Sharma, Additional Director & Member Secretary, NAM; and Dr Th Rita Madhuri, Specialist (Ayurveda), Integrated AYUSH Hospital Lamphel.
