ELST program kicks off in Senapati

A 60-day Employment Linked Skill Training (ELST) program commenced at Mount Everest College, Senapati today in collaboration with Emporium Training & Consultancy Pvt Ltd (ETCPL) .
Delivering the welcome address at the inaugural event, Dr V Alexander Pao, president, Mount Everest College, urged everyone to grab the opportunities presented by the ELST program.
He also expressed his gratitude to the company for providing such facilities in Senapati district for the first time.
Meanwhile, Anirban Mukherjee, Operation Manager, ETCPL, briefly informed the gathering on how the Emporium has been providing skill training to different youths and placing them in different jobs.
He added that their main vision is to provide jobs to the youth.
With the presence of ETCPL in Senapati, the Operation Manager said that it will help in bringing jobs to one's doorstep.
He urged the youth to think globally whenever they think of a career or job.
The ELST program reportedly consists of a 60-day program where different youths will be sent to different places on different jobs placement through online interviews (virtual).
Even though many who have completed their masters or PhD degrees remain jobless due to lack of skills, the ELST program will ensure that they get job placements, said the Operation Manager of ETCPL.
Youths from different parts of Senapati and Kangpokpi are taking part in the program.
It is worth noting that ETCPL is a vocational training institution set up in 2007 and registered under the National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC), Ministry of Skill Development & Entrepreneurship, Tourism & Hospitality Sector Skill Council, Government of India.
ETCPL is also accredited as a partner under the Skill India International Network (SUN) under the National Skill Development Corporation and through this initiative ETCPL is authorized to hire candidates for various organizations worldwide.
The company works extensively with various key stakeholders - Government (Central and State), private companies (sponsors and employers), foundations, international bodies, trainees and parents.
