Thadou Students' Union, AMGSU extend Christmas wishes

Imphal, December 24 2018: The Thadou Students' Association, Jiribam and Tamenglong Branch (TSA J&T) wished a Merry Christmas and prosperous New Year, 2019, to all the presidents, village chiefs, well wishers, politician in the District Administration, Police Department, Tamenglong and Jiribam District, 37 Bn HQ Assam Rifle stationed at Kadamtala, Jiribam, 5 th Manipur Rifle stationed at Khongjaron, Tamenglong and the 87 Bn Hq CRPF stationed at Uchathol, Jiribam.

All the District Authorities and the Students Association would like to appeal to the electricity department of Tamenglong and Jiribam district for uninterrupted power supply during the festive season which will be celebrated day and night in Tamenglong and Jiribam district, said a statement of TSA J&T.Seeking attention from the concerned electricity departments regarding the matter, the statement requested the SPs of Jiribam and Tamenglong to maintain law and order situation to protect the people during the festival.

It also requested the COs of Assam Rifle and CRPF to safeguard the public from unlawful activities in the district during the festival.

Meanwhile, All Manipur Gorkha Student Union (AMGSU) has conveyed heartfelt greetings to all the people of Manipur ahead of Merry Christmas and also extended best wishes for the New Year.

At the same time, AMGSU also deeply condoled the sudden demise of former Minister, Phungzathang Tosing and has observed two minutes silence for the departed soul to rest in peace at its office on December 22.In its condolence message, the union expressed that the State has lost not just a political leader but also well experience and an iconic personality.

The union also shared its condolences with the bereaved family and prayed that the Almighty may give the patience and strength to bear the loss of their dear family member, it added.
