District Governor's official visitation / Charter Night celebration of Lions Club Thoubal held

Thoubal, September 23 2025: The Lions Club of Thoubal, in collaboration with the Lions Club of Greater Kakching, Lions Club of Kakching Sugnu and Lions Club of Thoubal Greater Centurion, jointly hosted the Annual Official visitation of District Governor Lion Lalit Kumar Kothari MJF of Lions Club International District 322-D, along with the 27th Charter Night celebration of Lions Club of Thoubal at Kshetri Shanglen, Thoubal, on Sunday.

Besides District Governor Lion Lalit Kumar Kothari MJF, the event was attended by Region VII chairperson Lion O Jogeshor PMJF; Zone XIV chairperson Lion Uttam Kumar Naorem; Lions Club of Thoubal president Lion K Michael; Lions Club of Thoubal Greater Centurion president Lion Y Guneshwori Devi; Lions Club of Kakching Greater president Lion Pukhrambam Ranakumar; and Lions Club of Kakching Sugnu president Lion Dr Pukhrambam Krishnamohon, who served as presidium members.

The main highlight of the evening was the presentation of the annual report to the District Governor by the four presidents of the participating Lions Clubs.

They also deliberated on future plans and activities to be undertaken in the coming year to strengthen service initiatives.

As part of the Charter Night celebration, three senior charter members of the club and three selected teachers from Thoubal district were honoured with gifts for their contributions to society.

Winners of the Peace Poster Competition were also felicitated with certificates and gifts as encouragement for their creativity and effort.

Addressing the gathering, District Governor Lion Lalit Kumar Kothari urged all members to reaffirm their commitment to humanitarian service and community development.

He lauded the Lions Club of Thoubal and partner clubs for their sustained efforts in building a stronger and more compassionate society.
