Senapati, June 22 2025:
The All Naga Students' Association, Manipur (ANSAM), while reaffirming its stance to continue protesting against border fencing in Naga areas and the scrapping of the Free Movement Regime (FMR), has announced that it will resume its office picketing protest from tomorrow (June 23) for five days.
The protest, which will be held until June 27, will be implemented in all 'Naga hill districts', according to ANSAM.
The Association appealed to all its units and members to strictly enforce the protest in their areas 'to defend the ancestral homeland and integrity of Naga families'.
It also asked the Government to take responsibility for any unwanted incidents or situations that may arise during the protest.
ANSAM urged all contractors, transporters, agencies, etc.
involved in transporting, supplying, storing, or facilitating raw materials for border fencing construction to cease their activities immediately.
Any entity found aiding such activities will be held accountable for any untoward incidents, it said, appealing to all the Naga people to cooperate with them.
