Imphal, February 22 2025:
Board of Secondary Education Manipur (BOSEM) Secretary S Jitelal has asserted that recent disruptions at three HSLC exam centres were caused by the involvement of guardians, teachers and private individuals.
In this connection, S Jitelal has urged the aforementioned groups at certain exam centres to stop all efforts to besmirch the HSLC Exam 2025.BOSEM has consistently taken up extensive measures to ensure that the integrity of the exam remains uncompromised and all guidelines are followed, he said while speaking to media persons at BOSEM Office in Babupara today.
Despite such efforts, disruptions occurred at Uchiwa High School, Irong High Madrasa and Evergreen Flower School exam centres at Thoubal Ningombam.
However, BOSEM officials have personally inspected the exam centres in question.
He claimed that all three incidents occurred due to the involvement of parents/guardians, teachers and private individuals.
As a result BOSEM has directed the relevant department to take strict action against the persons involved.
On another note, the All Manipur Recognised Private Schools' Welfare Association (AMRPSWA), Imphal has strongly condemned the threats and intimidations on the observer and inspection teams of BOSEM sent to inspect the exam centres.
A press release issued by AMRPSWA said that some schools and guardians of students wrongly perceive the observer and inspection teams of visiting the exam centres to disturb and expel the students.
Refuting such beliefs, AMRPSWA said that the teams are merely trying to perform their duties as instructed by BOSEM.
Additionally, AMRPSWA has hailed the Directorate of Education for notifying that Government will start strictly monitoring unrecognised and unaffiliated schools.
