MSPDCL announces power cuts in Imphal areas

Imphal, April 21 2026 : The Manipur State Power Distribution Company Limited (MSPDCL) has announced scheduled power shutdowns across multiple feeders and areas starting April 22, 2026, for ur-gent maintenance, line upgrades, and road expansion works.

Consumers are advised to plan accordingly.

Sangaiprou Substation

Consumers under the 11 KV Tera feeder of the 33/11 KV Sangaiprou sub-station will have no power supply on April 22 from 10 am to 4 pm.

The shutdown is for pole shifting and HT line restringing related to road expansion work.

Routine line maintenance, including vegetation clearance, will also be carried out along the feeder during the shutdown.

Yurembam Sub-Station

Power supply to consumers of Thaoroijam, Salam, Luker, Leitong, Haorang Keiren, Maklang.

Kachikhul.

Sangaithel and nearby areas under the Tiddim-1 feeder from Yurembam sub-station will remain off on April 22 from 9 am to 4 pm.

The shutdown is to string HT covered conductor on the feeder.

Line Erection for Akampat Substation

MSPDCL will erect a 33 KV line from Sangaipat substation for the new 33/11 KV Akampat sub-station from April 22 to 25, daily from 10 am to 4 pm.

Areas near Akampat and Singjamei Kongba road are likely to be affected.

Temporary power interruptions may occur during work hours.

MSPDCL has asked cable operators and telecom agencies to remove or shift fibre cables hanging on electric poles along the route to avoid obstruction and ensure safe execution of work.
