Ningthoukhong residents rally for justice over Tronglaobi attack

In response to the recent bomb attack in Tronglaobi that claimed the lives of two children and the alleged killing of three civilians by CRPF personnel, residents of Ningthoukhong staged a massive rally today demanding justice and accountability.
Organized jointly by the Protection Committee Ningthoukhong, Women's Wing Ningthoukhong, and Apunba Lup, Ningthoukhong, the demonstration began at Ningthoukhong Keithel and proceeded to the New Mini Secretariat Complex in Bishnupur.
Protesters submitted an 11-point memorandum to the Deputy Commissioner of Bishnupur, outlining their demands.
Key points in the memorandum included condemnation and thorough investigation of the incidents, identification and punishment of perpetrators, filing of FIRs against security personnel, protection of land and community identity, restoration of law and order, justice for the victims, establishment of an inquiry commission, time-bound investigations, measures to prevent wider violence, ensuring peace, opposition to security operations under AFSPA, and quashing of FIRs filed against innocent civilians.
During the rally, participants raised slogans demanding the immediate withdrawal of central forces, punishment of those responsible for the killings, and condemnation of the state forces' actions.
Chants of "Withdraw central forces immediately", "Punish the Kuki terrorists involved in killing children", and "Long live Manipur" echoed through the streets, reflecting widespread public anger and grief.
