UARSOM meeting held, executive members reshuffled

Imphal, August 18 2024: The United Association of Recognised Schools' of Manipur (UARSOM) convened a special meeting at Kindergarten Montessori School,Takyel Kolom Leikai on Saturday.

The meeting was presided by UARSOM president Laishram Joy Khuman and UARSOM advisor Kongkham Indubushan Singh, said a release issued by UARSOM.

It was also attended by two representatives from the executive bodies of private schools in every district.

The meeting unanimously accepted the resignation submitted by Laishram Joy Khuman, from the post of president, UARSOM.

The meeting also resolved to reshuffle the executive members.

Yarmi Karsung (Ukhrul) was appointed as the new president of UARSOM along with P Sanayaima Singh (CBSE) as working president and TS Ngamwar (Chandel) and Dr W Surjit Singh (AMRPSWA) as vice presidents.

K Seikhojam (Kangpokpi), Salam Jotin Singh (Thoubal), Ashuli Kaphire (Senapati) and Nandalal (Thoubal) were also elected as general secretary, secretary, joint secretary and finance secretary respectively.

Two representatives each from all affiliating associations were also appointed as executive members.

Five persons were also appointed as the new advisors of UARSOM.

The meeting also deliberated on the Manipur Private School Recognition and Regulation Bill.
