Imphal, December 16 2024: Athoubasing-gee Liklam Thiba Lup, Manipur (ALTLM), Leng Ondabi Paat Protection & Preservation Committee, Cachar, Assam and United Clubs' Organisation, Lakhipur,Cachar, Assam have jointly released a calendar for the year 2025 on Monday.

The calendar titled, "Leng Ondabi Paat" was released in a.function held at the residence of Manipur Legislative Assembly Speaker Th Satyabrata in Singjamei Bheigyabati Leikai, Imphal.

Speaking on the occasion, Th Satyabrata said that he recently met Union Home Minister Amit Shah in New Delhi, to present a detailed account of the misery and difficulties faced by the people of Manipur, specially Meitei community on account of the protracted violent crisis.

He continued that during the meeting, the Union Home Minister informed him that the Central Government has been working to bring peace in Manipur at the earliest.

Moreover, Nongmaithem Tombi, former Vice Chairman, Jawaharlal Nehru Manipur Dance Academy, Imphal, released a book titled, "Matamgi Mityengda Jodhachandra Sanasamgee Punshi Amadi Khorirol" at Manipur Press Club, Imphal on Sunday.

The Book Release Function cum 80th Birth Anniversary Celebration of Jodhachandra Sanasam was organised by the family of late Professor Jodhachandra Sanasam and Tungee Yaifanaba Shemba Kanglup.

It was attended by Kangjam Radhakumar, retired IAS officer; Leihaothabam Kunjeshwor Sharma, retired Assistant Commandant of 6th Manipur Rifles and Nongmaithem Tombi as presidium members.

During the function, Dr Chirom Rajketan, Associate Professor, Manipur University gave a brief review of the book.

Sanasam Ningol Lina Leima also recited a poem titled, "Ekhou Langba" by Mobi Haoba.
