Multi-disciplinary health camp conducted at Ningthoukhong

The Lions Club of Imphal and the Lions Club of Ningthoukhong jointly organised a multi-disciplinary health camp at Ningthoukhong Higher Secondary School today as part of the observance of World Diabetes Day 2025.The initiative aimed to provide essential health services to residents of Ningthoukhong and nearby areas, including internally displaced persons (IDPs).
At the sidelines of the camp, Lion Manas Maisnam, president of Lions Club of Imphal, highlighted that diabetes is one of the eight focused projects of Lions International.
In line with this, District 322D of Lions International has directed all clubs under its jurisdiction to take up diabetes-related service projects under the theme "One District One Activity" throughout November 2025.He stated that the current camp was organised accordingly, with diabetes screening forming a major component.
During the camp, participants received checkups in several disciplines, including diabetes detection, vision screening, general medicine and gynaecology.
Medicines were also distributed free of costs to beneficiaries.
Doctors from RIMS Imphal and Bishnupur District Hospital actively took part in the camp, with Cecil Diagnostic Centre, Imphal, extending logistical support and assuring further clinical tests at concessional rates for patients who were diagnosed as diabetic during the camp.
The medical camp was attended by Lion Prof W Gopimohon, Past District Governor and members of Lions Club of Imphal, and Lions Club of Ningthoukhong.
