Special outreach programme on 'Swachhta Hi Seva' held at New Life Hr Sec School Senapati

A one-day Special Outreach Awareness Programme on the theme "Swachhta Hi Seva"washeldon October 14, 2025 at the New Life Hr Sec School Senapati.
The outreach programme was organised by the Central Bureau of Communication, Field Outreach Bureau (FOB), Senapati Unit, under the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Govt of India, in collaboration with Lamhil Kuki Cultural Research Centre.
According to a release issued by the Central Bureau of Communication, the programme was attended by Ps Zhouvene, principal of New Life Hr Sec School, as the chief guest; Sumpi Robert, Assistant Teacher and ADC member, as the guest of honour; and Veinai D, vice principal of New Life Hr Sec School, as the resource person.
The event featured talks, cultural performances, and drama presentations centred around the message of cleanliness and public hygiene.
In his keynote address, A Sankhil George, Field Publicity Assistant, CBC Senapati, highlighted the vital role of the Field Outreach Bureau in spreading awareness about govt welfare schemes and activities among the rural population.
Speaking as resource person, Veinai D elaborated on the objectives of Swachh Bharat Abhiyan, the Swachhta Action Plan, and the ban on single-use plastics.
She emphasized the importance of sanitation and proper waste management for both environmental and health benefits.
In her address, Ps Zhouvene, principal of New Life Hr Sec School, urged the students and villagers to take the message of cleanliness beyond the school and into their communities.
She expressed appreciation to the Central Bureau of Communication for organizing such a meaningful programme to raise awareness among rural residents about government schemes and their benefits.
The programme concluded with vibrant cultural performances by the Songs and Drama Division, showcasing the theme "Swachhta Hi Seva" .
