Imphal, August 16 2024: As part of its ongoing efforts to promote literacy and gender equality, Rotary Club of Polo City, Imphal, conducted meetings on the topic "The Role of Education in Empowering Women and Its Impact on Society" today.

The meetings were held at GP Women College, Dhanamanjuri University and Imphal College under the month-long project, "Education and Literacy" of the club.

Rotary Club of Polo City, Imphal, president, Elangbam Sovid; secretary, Preshorjit Sharma; and Education & Literacy chairperson, Jibon took part in the meetings.

Biju BP, who is currently on a mission to ride solo across 28 States and 6 Union Territories of India in a span of 800 days on his motorcycle to promote 'Girl empowerment through Education' also attended the event as a resource person.

As part of the event, the team from Rotary Club of Polo City, also planted tree saplings at GP Women's College campus.
