AR wraps up Agniveer Pre-Recruitment Training

In a major push for youth empowerment, Assam Rifles successfully conducted a month-long Pre-Recruitment Training programme for Agniveer aspirants in Churachandpur district from May 1 to 31, 2026.The initiative aimed to enhance the knowledge, aptitude, discipline and overall military preparedness of local youth to help them secure employment opportunities in the Indian Armed Forces.
A total of 57 aspirants from Churachandpur and adjoining villages participated in the structured training.
The curriculum was designed as per the official Agniveer recruitment syllabus and covered core subjects including General Awareness, Current Affairs, Elementary Mathematics, Reasoning and English Language.
Beyond academics, trainers also focused on instilling basic military ethos, professional conduct, written communication skills and time management.
The programme included rigorous mock tests, group discussions, peer learning sessions and individual mentorship to prepare candidates for the selection process.
The intensive coaching yielded strong results, with 49 out of 57 candidates clearing the written examination.
The success rate stood at over 85 per cent.
Officials said the outcome reflects both the dedication of the trainees and the quality of guidance provided by Assam Rifles personnel.
By supporting the aspirations of local youth and improving their employability, the Assam Rifles has further strengthened its bond of trust and cooperation with the people of Churachandpur, officials added.
