Importance of community gathering stressed

Kakching, July 15 2024: Kakching AC MLA M Rameshwar has stressed on the importance of community gathering on a regular basis to discuss significant issues and developmental aspects of the society.

The MLA made the above statement while speaking on the occasion of Laibung Kaba, an event which is held on the first and fifteenth day of every month organised by the Peoples Protection Forces Irengband and All Irengband Football Association.

In today's event, two meritorious who have secured positions in 6th semester examinations conducted by Manipur University and two National and international level players were honoured by presenting simple gifts.

The MLA highlighted that the Meetei/Meitei rarely hold community gathering programmes as compared to other indigenous communities of the State.

The MLA also underscored the need of fostering such gathering programmes focusing on welfare objectives among the Meetei/Meitei community.

The welfare activities should continue even during challenging times, the MLA remarked.

Furthermore, the MLA stated that five more new roads in Kakching AC including Irengband area will be constructed.

He also assured to take up other welfare initiatives as well.
