Sit-in-protest staged at Kwakeithel MoirangPurel

Imphal, May 15: Womenfolk of Kwakeithel Moirang Purel today staged a sit-in-protest against the killing of Mayengbam Tomba of Tera Urak, Nongpok Keithelmanbi.

Tomba, however, was staying at Kwakeithel Moirang Purel since past 10 years.

According to a women protester, Tomba was called out from his Tera Urak house by some unidentified gunmen in the morning of May 11 on the pretext to escort them to somewhere and shot to death at an isolated place.

The women protesters urged the concerned not to repeat such killing in future.

Tomba is survived his by wife and two sons.
