"Rs 48 crore sanctioned for Napet Palli-Maphou Dam road repair"

Imphal, February 15 2026: The road connecting Napet Palli to the Maphou Dam will be repaired starting this month and completed quickly, announced Lamlai Assembly Constituency MLA Khongbantabam Ibomcha.

Speaking as the chief guest at the Lui Ngai Ni festival held today in Thangjingpokpi village, which falls under the Saikul AC, Kh Ibomcha stated that Rs 48 crore have been sanctioned for the repair of this important road, which also links the Lamlai AC and Andro AC .

The tender process is complete, and the work order has been issued, he added.

Kh Ibomcha mentioned that discussions are underway with the MLA of the Phungyar AC to further extend the road, as it also provides connectivity to that constituency.

During his address at the festival, which is the first seed-sowing festival of the year for the Naga community, Kh Ibomcha emphasized that all communities residing in the area are like siblings.

He expressed hope that the festival would bring lasting peace and strengthen love and unity among the different communities in the region.

Several important individuals, including Thangjingpokpi village headman Wungchipem lajo, also participated in the event.
