LPG gas safety awareness cum training held at Ishok Maning

Bishnupur, January 15 2026: A mass awareness-cum-training programme on the safe use of LPG gas and precautionary measures during emergencies was held today at the residence of Wahengbam Dewan Singh at Ishok Maning Chingya, in Bishnupur district.

The programme was organised by the All AGC Manipur State in collaboration with Ishok GP Ward no 4 member Wahengbam Naoba, with th aim of educating consumers on gas safety and disaster preparedness.

Speaking on the occasion, AGC Manipur State Manager Sh Joyprakash emphasised the importance of awareness on LPG gas usage, particularly among women who are primarily engaged in cooking and domestic activities.

He said that negligence and lack of proper safety measures while using gas cylinders often lead to unfortunate incidents, including frequent cylinder blasts.

To prevent such mishaps, Joyprakash stressed the need for regular dissemination of information on safety practices and proper handling of LPG equipment.

He added that awareness cum training programmes of this nature are being conducted continuously at various places, including today's programme at Ishok Maning, to ensure safety and preparedness.
