Senapati, May 14 2015 : Haokholal Hangshing, the uncontested INC candidate of Kangpokpi District Council Constituency was felicitated at his residence at Salam Cottage, Kangpokpi today, our correspondent reports.

The felicitation function which was organized by Kangpokpi Town Committee was attended by local MLA Nemcha Kipgen, local sitting MDC Haokholien Guite and Rev J Lunkim, chairman, Kangpokpi Town Churches Fellowship.

Haokholal Hangshing was honoured with a Red traditional Thadou Kuki shawl (Saipikhup) to mark the town's acceptance of him as the local representative in the administration of ADC, Sadar Hills.

CSOs leaders including Kuki Inpi Sadar Hills, Kuki Women Union Sadar Hills, KSO Sadar Hills, TSA Sadar Hills, Kangpokpi Women Welfare Organization, Kangpokpi Youth Union also took part in the felicitation function.

Rev J Lunkim, chairman, Kangpokpi Town Churches Fellowship pronounced the thanksgiving ceremony.
