Pension Adalat addresses retiree grievances

Imphal, May 13 2026: The Office of the Joint Controller of Communication Accounts (Jt CCA), Department of Telecommunications, North East-II Circle, organised a Pension Adalat today at the BSNL Conference Hall in Imphal.

The initiative specifically targeted retirees from BSNL and the Department of Telecommunications (DoT), said PIB Imphal in a release.

Beyond resolving individual issues, the programme sought to bridge the digital divide by raising awareness about modem digital pension services.

The Adalat was conducted under the chairmanship of the Principal Controller of Communication Accounts, Eastern Region, Kolkata.

The session saw significant turnout from pensioners who raised concerns regarding pension transfer processes, issuance of official identity cards, and other pension-related matters.

Many of the grievances brought forward were clarified and settled on the spot.

For more complex cases, officials provided a formal assurance that resolutions would be reached within ten days.

In his address, the Principal CCA commended the pensioners for their participation.

He emphasized the Department's ongoing dedication to providing services that are transparent, efficient, and pensioner-friendly.
