Thoubal, October 12 2025:
All Community Development Organisation Moreh (ACODOM) observed its 18th foundation day at Spice Hotel & Resort, Wangjing Bazar today.
The ceremony witnessed the attendance of Thangjam Budha Meitei, president, ACODOM; Leishangthem Inaocha Meitei, chairman, Committee On Protection of Meitei Victims (COPMeV) Moreh and Yumnam Jotila Leima, advisor, Nupi Khunai Chaokhat Lamjing Lup Moreh as presidium members.
Notably, IDPs from Wangjing Kodompokpi Sports Complex Relief Camp, Wangjing Lamding Higher Secondary School Relief Camp and other areas attended the observation ceremony.
As a part of the event, the gathering observed a 2-minute silence to pay homage to eminent personalities of the State.
Addressing the gathering, Thangjam Budha Meitei said that the ongoing crisis should not be perceived as a communal conflict but "a proxy war orchestrated by the Government of India" .
Saying that the Indian Government can easily end the conflict if it adopts an unbiased approach, he said that the GoI, however, appears to harbour a certain prejudicial slant.
On the other hand, like a subjugated State, the political leaders seem to only do the bidding of the "master" .
Meanwhile, unity continues to elude the people, he added.
Only when people restrain their thoughts and are united for the common good, then can peace and normalcy be restored in Manipur, said Th Budha.
