Imphal, April 11 2025: A training programme on scientific methods of pig farming and use of EM-Bokashi was held today at Khangabok Makha Leikai in Thoubal district.

The programme was jointly organised by the North Eastern Region Community Resource Management Society (NERCORMP), Shillong and Manipur Social and Cultural harmony Agency (MASCHA), Imphal.

The function was graced by Mongjam Romabai, secretary, MASCHA as the chief guest.

Meanwhile, Dr Norjit Singh, Assistant Professor (Senior Scale), Department of Animal Husbandry, College of Agriculture, CAU, Iroisemba gave a detailed lecture on how to generate income by breeding pigs using scientific methods.

Dr Khumukcham Ibohal, Professor, Department of Entomology, CoA, Iroisemba spoke about EM Technology and educated the farmers about its benefits.

Around 50 farmers attended the programme.
