Meritorious Manipuri students felicitated in Tripura

Thoubal, November 10 2025: A felicitation ceremony was held in North Tripura and Dhalai districts today to honour meritorious students belonging to the Manipuri community from North Tripura, Unakoti, and Dhalai who cleared the Class X (Madhyamik) and Higher Secondary Examinations conducted by the Tripura Board in the first division.

The programme, organised by the Manipur Sahitya Parishad, North Tripura Branch, took place at Dharmanagar Rajbari, North Tripura.

A total of 21 students who excelled in the Madhyamik and Higher Secondary examinations were honoured during the event.

The ceremony also recognised H Kaberi Singha of Kameshwar, who received a gold medal from Assam University for her academic achievement.

The felicitation event was graced by Manipuri Sahitya Parishad, North Tripura district president, Aheibam Budhachandra; Parishad advisor W Birmangal; president of Manipur Sahitya Parishad, Agartala, L Birmangal and other eminent personalities including Suradhani Sharma, RK Karminijit, and Y Memcha; as presidium members.

A similar programme was held later at Kamalpur Nazrul Bhavan in Dhalai district on November 9, where the Manipur Sahitya Parishad, Dhalai Branch, honoured 35 meritorious students from the Manipuri community.

The Dhalai function was attended by vice president of the branch, Th Kulabidhu as functional president and Moijing Chumar Uddin; Sajabam Ismile Mia; and Sajabam Nurul Haque as guests of honour.

Both events celebrated the spirit of academic excellence and community pride, inspiring young Manipuri students across Tripura to pursue education with dedication and distinction.
