Ex-CM, MP meet Central leaders

Former Chief Minister N Biren Singh held two rounds of meeting with Union Home Minister Amit Shah and some other Central leaders in New Delhi to discuss the unrest in Manipur and explore measures for restoring peace.
Sources said the Chief Minister and the Central leaders also discussed the urgent need to ensure the free movement of vehicles along National Highways.
The first round of meeting took place on Monday night from 10.15pm to 11 pm and the discussion reportedly centered around the volatile situation in Manipur following the arrest of an Arambai Tenggol (AT) leader.
The 10 day bandh called by AT was called off with immediate effect today.
The second round of talks which was held today from 3.15 pm to 4.30 pm discussed the issue of highway blockades and the unrest in Manipur.
Rajya Sabha MP Leishemba Sanajaoba was also president during the meetings.
