CAU Imphal organises seminar on "Samarth Yuva, Viksit Kheti"

Imphal, July 09 2025: A thoughtprovoking seminar on "Samarth Yuva, Viksit Kheti" was held today at the auditorium of College of Agriculture (COA), Central Agricultural University (CAU), Imphal.

The seminar was organised by CAU Imphal to commemorate National Students' Day and the 77th Foundation Day of Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP).

The seminar was graced by dignitaries, including Naorem Praveen, Secretary (Education-Schools) and Director, Manipur Renewable Energy Development Agency; Bhagwat Singh, State organising secretary, AB VP; and Prof Indira Sarangthem, Dean , COA, CAU, Imphal.

The event began with a welcome address by Dr Jeti Konsam, Agrivision State in-charge.

Speaking on the occasion, Prof Indira said that AgriVision was formed in 2015 with the aim of providing better education and employment opportunity to all the students of Agricultural science including Veterinary, Dairy, Horticulture, Home Science, Sericulture, Fisheries, Forestry, and other allied sciences which ultimately leads to high living standards of farming community and whosoever associated with Agriculture directly or indirectly.

She also emphasized the need for equipping youth with modem agricultural skills, sustainable practices and entrepreneurial knowledge, to foster a new generation of capable and confident farmers.

"The vision is to revitalize agriculture by attracting young people and integrating advanced technologies, making it a respected and profitable career path", added Prof Indira.

Naorem Praveen and Bhagwat Singh also spoke on values, legacy of ABVP and role of students/youths in developing the Nation.
