New Delhi, October 08 2026: MLA of the 44-Ukhrul Assembly Constituency (ST) Ram Muivah, called on Union Minister for Youth Affairs and Sports Dr Mansukh Mandaviya in New Delhi on October 7 and discussed about sports infrastructure in Ukhrul in particular and Manipur in general.

The MLA highlighted the significance of enhanced sports infrastructure in the region to nurture young talents.

He informed that the Union Minister for Youth Affairs and Sports gave him a patient hearing and assured to give special attention to Manipur as the State is being regarded as the sports powerhouse in India.

The MLA expressed belief that the meeting will bear fruitful results leading to further development of sports in the State.
