Seva Jyoti Yatra held across districts, Viksit Bharat pledge administered

Bpr/Chd/CCpr/Jbm/Kak/Non/Phz/Spi/Tml/Tpl/Tbl, October 07 2026: The Seva Jyoti Yatra was organised across the districts as part of the month-long Seva Sankalp Abhiyan 2026, launched on September 17 to mark Prime Minister Narendra Modi's 25 years of public service.

The programmes featured virtual participation in Modi's address at the Viksit Bharat Sankalp Sabha in New Delhi, followed by the Viksit Bharat Pledge.

Participants pledged to embrace innovation and technology, uphold integrity and responsibility, serve society and the nation, and contribute to the goal of building a Viksit Bharat through Jan Bhagidari and Sabka Prayas.

Bishnupur

As part of Seva Jyoti Yatra 2026, the District Administration, Bishnupur today organised a bike rally starting from INA Auditorium Hall, Moirang, and culminating at the Mini Secretariat Complex, Bishnupur.

The bike rally was flagged off by MLA Nambol AC Thounaojam Basanta Kumar Singh, MLA Moirang AC Thongam Shanti Singh and MLA Kumbi AC Sanasam Premchandra Singh while Deputy Commissioner, Bishnupur, Pooja Elangbam received the bikers at the Mini Secretariat Complex upon completion of the rally.

Prior to the bike rally, a programme was held at the INA Auditorium Hall, Moirang, where more than 1,000 public gathered and virtually joined the address of Prime Minister Narendra Modi during the Viksit Bharat Sankalp Sabha held in New Delhi.

The gathering also participated in the Viksit Bharat Pledge which was administered from New Delhi.

Chandel

Departmental staff, district officials, local bodies and members of the public carried out a Seva Jyoti Yatra at Chandel today.

The rally was flagged off by SS Olish, MLA, 41-ST Chandel Assembly Constituency, in the presence of Mamoni Doley DC Chandel, ADC Chandel and other District Administration officials at the Indoor Stadium, Chandel.

The rally proceeded from Indoor Stadium and concluded at the Multipurpose Hall, DC Complex Chandel, where a commemorative programme was held.

Churachandpur

The District Administration organised the Seva Jyoti Yatra across Churachandpur district today as part of the ongoing Seva Sankalp Abhiyan 2026, with three yatras converging at Tuibong before proceeding to the District Panchayat Resource Centre (DPRC).

The three yatras began from Rengkai, Lamka Public Ground and Molnom and were coordinated by the respective Sub-Divisional Officers and other officials.

The Seva Jyoti (Torch) was carried by vehicles leading the respective yatras.

The District Administration, led by DC Churachandpur, Krishna Kumar received the three yatras in front of the MiniSecretariat, Tuibong and led the participants to the District Panchayat Resource Centre (DPRC), where the districtlevel programme was held.

Jiribam

The District Administration Jiribam today organised a Seva Jyoti Yatra, a public outreach initiative and foot march.

The foot march from Nongsaba Gate to Jiribam Higher Secondary School was attended by Executive Officer, Jiribam Municipal Council Moirangthem Surjit Singh, Administrative Committee Hilghat GP Chairperson L Samarendra Singh, members of Hilghat GP, members of Sonapur GP, SDC Jiribam, Sanitary workers of Jiribam Municipal Council, Jiribam Municipal Council staff, students of Kasturba Girls High School, students of Jiribam Higher secondary school took part in the rally.

As part of the Seva Sankalp Abhiyan initiative, the Office of Legal Metrology, Jiribam District organized an awareness program today for the general public and shopkeepers at Jiribam Bazaar, Kalinagar, and Pangan Tabi (Babupara) aimed to spread awareness about the proper usage of CI weights and electronic weighing machines, ensuring exact weights and measurements for the general public, and educating them on consumer rights under the Legal Metrology Act of 2009 .

Kakching

The District Administration Kakching organised Seva Jyoti Yatra at Keirak today with a bike rally and foot march held to mark the occasion.

The programme began with a bike rally from Wabagai Lamkhai to Sanatombi High School, Keirak.

Following the rally, a foot march was taken out from Sanatombi High School and ended at Keithel Lampak community hall, Keirak.

Dr Usham Deben, MLA, Wabagai Assembly Constituency, along with local leaders and representatives, participated in the foot march.

Following the installation of the Seva Jyoti, Dr Usham Deben, DC Angeline Renita R and other local leaders took part in the ceremonial lighting of the lamp.

Noney

As part of the Seva Sankalp Utsav "Seva Jyoti Yatra" - Child Protection foot march was organized by the District Administration, Noney and the District Child Protection Unit (DCPU), Noney Social Welfare Department, Govt of Manipur, with the active participation of DCPU staff, Child Welfare Committee, Staff of Child Care Institutions and students.

The foot march was flagged off from the DC complex, Noney by SDC Kim Newmai with the objectives of spreading awareness among the public on child protection and the prevention of child abuse, child marriage, Child labour, exploitation, neglect, all forms of violence against children.

Pherzawl

The District Administration, Pherzawl today organised a Seva Jyoti Yatra at the Conference Hall of the DC Camp Office and at Parbung Government Higher Secondary School.

DC Pherzawl Anunay Anand chaired the districtlevel programme and administered the Viksit Bharat @ 2047 pledge to the participants.

Superintendent of Police Pherzawl T Lalboi Haokip, ADC Lalthazam, ADC and in-charge SDO Tipaimukh Zosanglur Joute, in-charge SDO Vangai S Khaikhopau Ngaihte, along with district-level officers, attended the programme.

Senapati

As part of the ongoing month-long Seva Sankalp Utsav 2026, the Seva Jyoti Yatra was organised at Paomata today by the Sub-Divisional Officer, Paomata, Sheveine under the supervision of the District Administration, Senapati.

The Yatra commenced from Paomata Centre Ground and proceeded to the SDO Office, Paomata Centre, led by the SDO, Paomata, the yatra witnessed participation from around 20 villages under Paomata Sub-Division, along with village authorities, officials, line departments and members of the public.

Tamenglong

The Viksit Bharat Sankalp Sabha was successfully organized by the District Administration, Tamenglong at Tamenglong Headquarters today.

As part of the celebration, a Seva Jyoti Yatra was carried out from Apollo Bazaar to Haipou Jadonang Park, Tamenglong Headqaurters, with enthusiastic participation from all sections.

The program was attended by Kachamthai F Gangmei, Chief Executive Officer; D Meidinbui SDO Tamenglong; Namthango Kahmei AC to DC; Namsadai Peter Pamei, CO, 5th Manipur Rifles; Gaigongdin Panmei, IRS (retired), DLOs, civil society leaders, village and ward leaders, and school students.

Tengnoupal

The District Administration, Tengnoupal organized Seva Setu Abhiyan -Sarkar Aapke Dwar and Seva Jyoti Yatras as part of Seva Sankalp Abhiyan at the District Headquarters, Tengnoupal.

The programme was successfully organised with the participation of various line departments to provide information and facilitate access to government welfare schemes and public services.

During the camp, DC Tengnoupal Saurabh Yadav and SDO Tengnoupal distributed various items to the beneficiaries.

Thoubal

The District Administration, Thoubal, successfully organized the Seva Setu Abhiyan (Go to Village) in connection with the Seva Sankalp Abhiyan, 2026, at Kangyambem Nongpok Ningthou Leikol, Salungpham.

During today's Seva Setu Abhiyan, the public sought information about various government schemes and enrolled themselves in different welfare schemes to avail themselves of the benefits provided by the Government.

The programme facilitated beneficiary enrolment, verification, documentation, and submission of applications for various government welfare schemes.

The programme was attended by MLA Heirok Assembly Constituency Thokchom Radheshyam Singh; MLA Wangjing Tentha AC Paonam Brojen Singh; DC Thoubal Yumnam Robita, SDOs, SDCs, DLOs, officials and staff of the DC Office, Thoubal along with the public.
