Imphal, May 07 2025: RIMS, Imphal has issued a statement regarding allegations raised by some students against whom disciplinary actions were taken after their alleged act of indiscipline and defiance.

According to a press release issued by the media cell of RIMS Imphal, verbal complaints were received from teachers of RIMS, Imphal on the evening of April 29 about some students planning a picnic by skipping classes on April 30 .

Considering the present turmoil in the State and April 30 being a working day, the students including the office bearers of RIMS Students' Union were warned against going on a picnic, asserted the statement.

However, it was learnt the next day that some of the students went ahead with their plan defying the warnings and instructions of the authority.

Consequently, disciplinary action was taken up to suspend them from classes up to a period of 15 days for some of the students along with payment of a fine along with an instruction to the students to stay home till they start attending classes, said the press release.
