100 days' prog likely to cost Rs 1035 cr

Imphal, May 06 2017: Implementation of the 100 days' programme announced by the BJP-led coalition Government recently would cost around Rs 1035.724 crore.

With Chief Secretary O Nabakishore in the chair, an official meeting was held and the projects which would be completed within 100 days were deliberated at length.

Later, Finance Department was asked to make Rs 1035.724 crore available for implementation of the projects.

The Chief Secretary further instructed all departments to take due note of the State Government's new initiative to check corruption which has even opened an anti-corruption cell.

He further instructed officials concerned to introduce registration of employees' attendance through biometric system.

Heads of Departments should submit printed attendance sheets to the Government at regular intervals.

Even though no fund is available for repairing Mao-Imphal section of Imphal-Dimapur highway, the Government has listed it among the 100 day's projects.

The Government would somehow repair the same section at the cost of Rs 936 lakh, informed a source.

Another work which would be completed within 100 days is filling up potholes on all major roads of district headquarters.

Moreover, construction of Tupul-Bishnupur and Thoubal- Kasom Khullen roads which are being executed with monetary assistance from the Asian Development Bank is also included within the 100 days' programme.

The estimated cost of the road construction project is Rs 27701 lakh.

Some other projects included in the 100 days' programme are construction of a tourist resort atop Sendra hill and development of Takmu Water Sports complex.
