MBC to hold Quinquennial Congress from Feb 7

The Manipur Baptist Convention (MBC) will be holding its Quinquennial Congress from February 7 to 9, 2025 at Angchang Ground, Chandel Christian & Lambung Baptist Church.
According to a release issued by MBC, the Congress, held once every five years, will bring together all.30 Associations under the MBC to celebrate the theme, "Blessing" based on Genesis 12:1-3".The Congress, hosted by the Anal Naga Baptist Association (ANBA) aims to foster peace, harmony, love, and unity of brotherhood among followers of Jesus Christ, transcending ethnic, linguistic, and cultural boundaries.
At a time when Manipur has faced various challenges, the Congress seeks to serve as a platform to strengthen the Christian community's collective faith and commitment to reconciliation.
The Congress will feature renowned Church leaders, including Rev Dr Akheto Sema, general secretary, Council of Baptist Churches in Northeast India (CBCNEI); Rev Dr Mathanmi Zimik, Pastor, Tangkhul Church, Delhi and Rev K Losii Mao, general secretary, Manipur Baptist Convention.
In addition, distinguished Church leaders from the CBCNEI, including general secretaries from the Arunachal Baptist Churches Council (ABCC), Assam Baptist Convention (ABC), and Karbi Anglong Baptist Convention, will grace the occasion.
The general secretary Of the National Council of Baptist Churches in India (NCBCI) will deliver an exhortation on February 9,2025.With thousands of delegates expected to participate, the Quinquennial Congress will be a momentous occasion for the Baptist community in Manipur and beyond.
