Dr Khumallambam Sarojini condoled

The Manipur State Kala Akademi (MSKA) has expressed profound sadness and condolence over the untimely demise of Dr Khumallambam Sarojini, retired Director of Arts and Culture, Government of Manipur and former Secretary of MSKA.
According to a release issued by MSKA, Dr Sarojini passed away on the morning of July 2, 2024 .
Dr Sarojini began her career as an Archivist in MSKA and later joined Manipur State Archives where she served as Deputy Director, Archives.
Later, she served as the Director of Arts and Culture and Secretary of MSKA.
She was one of the longest serving Secretaries of MSKA holding the post from September 18, 2022 to October 31, 2010, during which MSKA witnessed an all-round development.
Apart from being an able administrator, Dr Sarojini was also an established writer.
The employees of MSKA led by its Secretary Sunanda Thokchom observed two minutes of silence to mourn as a mark of respect to the departed soul.
MSKA also shared the grief of the bereaved family and prayed that the departed soul may rest in peace in the heavenly abode.
Moreover, the LEIKOL (Leimarol Khorjeikol) has expressed deep sorrow and pain over the demise of its former president Dr Khumallambam Sarojini and stated that her death has left a huge vacuum which would be difficult to fill by anyone.
In a release, LEIKOL also extended its deepest condolence to the bereaved family and prayed that may her soul rest in peace.
