Imphal, November 03 2008:
STATE CHIEF Minister Okram Ibobi has reiterated that violence can never bring solution to the problems of Manipur.

While the rest of the country observed October 31, the day on which former Prime Minister of India, Indira Gandhi was assassinated, as "National Re-dedication Day" on that day itself, Manipur observed it today.
O Ibobi, who was the chief guest at the function, further said that in a democratic country, any act of violence can never last.
Violence will never be able to bring settlement for any kind of problems.
People have all the rights to fight for their rights and grievances till the end in a democratic and peaceful manner.
There might be differences in thoughts and actions.
But all that differences could be settled by peaceful dialogues, he said.
The Chief Minister said, "We are all citizens of this country.
India is our country.
We must stand together to fight divisive forces which are trying to break up the nation".
Enmity will bring about nothing else except destruction of our unity and integrity, Ibobi pointed out and added that during the past several years, violent incidents have been occurring frequently.
This creates panic in the minds of the people and also acts as hindrances in the development projects.
He also said that the former Prime Minister, Indira Gandhi had tried to strengthen the Indian unity and uplift the weaker sections.
Power Ministe Phungzathang Tonsing presided over the function.
