IDP data collection underway in IE

Imphal, July 03 2025: In an effort to maintain a comprehensive database of the Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) affected by the ongoing law and order crises in the State since May 3, 2023, the Home Department, Government of Manipur has initiated a Statewide data collection exercise.

The initiative is being carried out through a dedicated portal developed by the Information Technology Department, Government of Manipur.

A notice issued by Dr Nivedita Lairenlakapam, Deputy Commissioner of Imphal East District, stated that the exercise will cover IDPs residing both in relief camps and at other locations outside the camps.

The notice also mentioned that the Imphal East District Administration has already begun the process and is nearing completion of capturing the details of the data of the IDPs currently housed in various relief camps within Imphal East district.

The Deputy Commissioner further informed all the IDPs residing outside the relief camps in Imphal East district to contact their respective jurisdictional points on or before July 7, 2025 to facilitate data registration.

The designated contact numbers are as follows: Porompat Sub-Division-9362930133; Sawombung Sub Division- 9862791324; and Keirao-Bitra Sub Division- 9233287917 .

Furthermore, the Deputy Commissioner called for cooperation of all displaced persons to ensure accurate and complete documentation.
