Imphal, July 03 2024: What MP Dr Angomcha Bimol Akoijam spoke on the Manipur issue in the Parliament recently was "not complete", as he left out key issue such as the Suspension of Operation (SoO) agreement and Kuki militants' attacks on the people, asserted BJP State unit's spokesperson Elangbam Johnson.

At the office of the BJP at Nityaipat Chuthek, Johnson said the MP speaking on the Manipur issue is appreciated, but he left out the issue of SoO and Kuki militants' attack on the people.

Johnson further alleged, MP Dr Bimol also didn't mention other key issues such as the issue of influx of illegal immigrants.

"If he had raised these issues and demanded the Centre to strengthen the ongoing biometrics survey of illegal immigrants, people would have welcomed his speech even more," Johnson said.

Stating that the omissions could have been because of time constraint, Johnson said people were expecting the MP to give suggestions to the Centre to resolve the crisis.

Johnson said he expects the MP to address the key issues he left out in the next sessions.
