The SOREPA Chairman continued that the national contradiction between India and Kangleipak/Manipur must be sharpened if Kangleipak/Manipur must be liberated from India.
Over the last 77 years, the indigenous people of Kangleipak/Manipur have taken to the Indian way of life.
If one fails to understand the contradictions between the Indian society and the Kanglei/Manipuri society, the people will remain slaves of Indian thoughts, read the statement issued by the SOREPA chairman.
"If we cannot shed the Indian way of life, there will be no point in achieving independence", it said.
Socialism based on Indian way of life and Indian social practices will never be a true socialism.
Each and every community should be allowed to protect their identity in true socialism, it said.
The liberation movement is aimed at creating an independent, socialist Nation free from Hindu expansionism, imperialism, spiritualism, Brahmanisation, Aryanisation, caste/class system etc, Toijam Ibochouba said.
There is an irreconcilable contradiction between the Indian imperialism based on Hindu neo-colonialism and caste system and the socialism with Kanglei/Manipuri characteristics for which the revolutionary organisations have been struggling, he asserted.
Ibochouba said that throughout history the people of Manipur/Kangleipak are committed to safeguarding the Nation's sovereignty without surrendering to enemies, and all revolutionary organisations will abide by this principle.
All those people who surrendered or would surrender to the enemy by compromising the national question are not friends of SOREPA, he added.
The SOREPA Chairman concluded by underscoring the growing need for unification of all revolutionary groups and waging the liberation movement collectively.
