The Ukhrul Block Programme Management Unit under District Health Mission Society (DHMS) in collaboration with Solidarity and Action Against HIV Infection in India (SAATHII) and Revised National Tuberculosis Control Programme (RNTCP) organised a day long brain storming training for GNMs/ANMs/ASHAs at PHC Somdal on Sep 29 .
Janani Suraksha Yojana scheme implementation under NRHM, prevention of AIDS, helping of HIV-infected people by GNMs/ANMs/ASHAs and how to process sputum collection by ASHA were covered as the main topics of the programme which was participated by 60 people including 13 pregnant women, said a release issued by block finance manager of NRHM Ukhrul Block S.Songachan.
Representing SAATHII team, programme officer M.Sadananda Singh, programme manager Randhoni Lairikyengbam, administrative & finance officer Moirangthem Chandrama Devi were the main resource persons of the programme.
Senior treatment laboratory supervisor of District Hospital Ukhrul Premjit Singh and lab technician B.Athai from RNTCP, block programme manager S.Wortharla, block finance manager S.Songachan, block data manager Bhagyachandra & medical officer in-charge of PHC Somdal Dr..RNingsang also attended the programme as resource persons, the release said while expressing gratitude to district programme manager I.Rajeev for helping in various ways towards ensuring the programme a grand success.
