Kangpokpi, August 02 2025:
In a move aimed at restoring accountability and improving the quality of education in Government-run schools, the Kuki Students' Organisation (KSO), Sadar Hills, has announced the launch of a district-wide inspection drive to monitor the performance and attendance of Government teachers in Kangpokpi district.
Expressing deep concern over the rising instances of dereliction of duty among some Government school teachers, KSO Sadar Hills stated that despite drawing regular salaries from the State Exchequer, certain teachers continue to neglect their professional responsibilities, compromising not only the academic standards but also the future of students in the district.
"KSO Sadar Hills and its constituent blocks will be conducting regular inspections of Government schools across our jurisdiction.
Any teacher found absent without justification or failing in their duties will be reported immediately to the competent authorities for stringent disciplinary action," said K Shongreng, general secretary of KSO Sadar Hills, in an official press communique issued today.
Calling for collective support, KSO has urged students, parents, and concerned citizens to cooperate and report any instances of teacher absenteeism or misconduct.
