Pre-delivery Residential Centre and Nutrition Rehabilitation Centre inaugurated in Chandel

Chandel, July 02 2025: A new five-bedded PreDelivery Residential Centre for pregnant women along with a furnished Nutrition Rehabilitation Centre and Paediatric Ward, were inaugurated today at Chandel District Hospital.

The facilities were inaugurated by 41-Chandel Assembly Constituency MLA, SS Olish, in the presence of Deputy Commissioner L Nandakumar Singh, IAS, Addl DC/CEO Firoz Khan, and CMO Dr Joyson Mathew Monsang.

In her address, MLA SS Olish commended the dedication and tireless efforts of the hospital's medical staff.

She noted that their selfless service to every patient inspires her to continue ensuring the availability of essential provisions.

The MLA further expressed pride in the development and improvement of road and transport facilities in the district.

She also assured the public of further developmental initiatives in the near future and urged citizens to extend support and cooperation to newly posted officials to enable continued progress.

Deputy Commissioner L Nandakumar expressed appreciation for the hard work of the concerned hospital team, emphasizing that Chandel District Hospital is the first among the district hospitals to have such a facility apart from JNIMS, in the State.

L Nandakumar further stated that, under the guidelines of Niti Aayog, the district has been able to attain its scheduled parameters which are made possible and accomplished by the combined efforts of the district administration and the concerned department.

The event was attended by various village leaders, Government officials, and members of the public.
