Aimol Students' Union Manipur condemns

Tengnoupal, July 02 2024: The Aimol Students' Union Manipur (ASUM) condemned the looting of Dr Sialloa Khupkhothang Aimol's home and damaging various medical equipment and properties yesterday.

The incident took place at Amazing Grace Dental Care 1st Street New Lambulane near Tribal Market Imphal East in board daylight, said a condemnation note by the Information & Publicity Secretary ASUM, The student body raised concern that the central forces deployed in the area failed to prevent the unfortunate incident.

In view of the above, the student body maintained that the State Police and Central forces deployed at various areas are for 'namesake duties' .

The authorities concerned has failed to protect our people and property, it remarked.

Further it urged the Government to take appropriate actions against the miscreants involved in such unethical acts.

The student body also appeal to all concerned not to repeat such acts amid the prevailing conflict situation in the State to prevent untoward incidents and maintain harmony and foster communal harmony among all the communities.

'The Aimol community has been always maintaining neutrality since the crisis started.

We always pray and look forward to peace where we can all live peacefully together', it added.
