CM inspects Khoidumpat

Chief Minister O Ibobi today inspected
Khoidumpat to study the feasibility of developing a tourist spot
there.
The CM said that the place has the potential to be devel-
oped as a tourist spot and expressed his keen desire to develop
a tourist spot there.
At the same time, MLA of Keirao Assembly Constituency
Karam Thamarjit inspected road construction work carried out
along the Waithou-Langdum road and has given assurance to
complete it within two months.
The 12.2 km long stretch of road is an important Other
District Road (ODR) which connects important towns like
Thoubal and Kakching.
Rs 8.18 crore has been sanctioned by
the State Govt for road repairing and Key Stone Infra Private
Limited is entrusted with the work.
It may be mentioned that the road which is an important
ODR has been left neglected for the last 20 years.
Thamarjit stated that under the leadership of Chief Minister
O Ibobi the huge amount has been sanctioned to repair one
of the more important roads which will connect different areas
under the Assembly Constituency and beyond.
He added that the Waithou-Langdum road is an important
road for the people of Keirao AC and it could serve as a
diversion road when any road blockade is enforced along
Imphal-Moreh road.
Further he said that there will be four layers of black
topping on some stretch and three layers on other stretches.
To prevent flooding, reinforced drain will also be constructed,
he added.
