Imphal, September 01: Hunphun Katamnao Long has submitted a memorandum to the Education Minister to dismiss the efforts made by some sections to transfer the principal-in-charge of Ukhrul Higher Secondary School.

Maintaining that the existing in-charge was appointed after repeated efforts were made by the students community, the union asserted that it would not be fair if the Government transfer a teacher who is the senior most lecturer of the school.

Conveying that the school is facing acute shortage of teachers, the union also said that the schoool has no lecturer of Chemistry and Biology, while there are only one lecturer each for Physics and Mathematics subjects.
