Imphal, October 31 2024: The Kuki National Front-Military Council (KNF-MC) active cadre who was arrested by NIA, Imphal Branch as a prime suspect in the killing of two CRPF personnel and injuring two others at Naranseina Maning on April 27, 2024 has been remanded to judicial custody.

Thongminthang Haokip alias Thangboi Haokip alias Roger (38) s/o late Holkhasei of Malhoi (S), Churachandpur was produced before the Special Court, NIA Imphal today through video conferencing along with a prayer for remanding him in judicial custody for smooth investigation of the case.

The Special PP NIA submitted that Thongminthang Haokip alias Thangboi Haokip alias Roger and 18 or more militant cadres were involved in attacking the CRPF camp at Naranseina.

The Court, after hearing the Special PP NIA and the defence counsel, remanded Thongminthang Haokip alias Thangboi Haokip alias Roger in judicial custody till November 13, 2024 .
