MACHALL celebrates foundation day

Moirang, May 30 2025: Manipur Chanura Lamjing Lup (MACHALL), Bishnupur observed its 1st foundation day today at Moirang Yumkhaibam Mandop.

The event was attended by District Bar Association, Bishnupur president, Wahengbam Lata, AMPAL president, Ema Thambal Leima and MACHALL Bishnupur, convenor Moirangthem Pushpa Chanu as presidium members.

Attended by various civil society organisations and Meira Paibi Lup, the gathering paid respect to the martyrs who have sacrificed their lives during the ongoing violence in the State by observing a minute silence.

As part of the event, the members of the All Bishnupur District Working Journalists Union were also honoured by presenting traditional shawls as encouragement for their relentless service.

Speaking at the event, MACHALL co-convenor Moirangthem Nirmala said that MACHALL, which is an organisation only meant for girls was formed amid the ethnic violence in the State with the aimed to extend support and solidarity to the brave mothers and brothers in their fight against protecting the territorial integrity of Manipur.

She also invited the young women of the State to join MACHALL and lend support to their maximum strength in saving the motherland.
