MTU, DMU sign MoU with Suan Dusit University to strengthen academic cooperation

Manipur Technical University (MTU) and Dhanamanjuri University (DMU) today signed a landmark Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Suan Dusit University, Bangkok, Thailand, at Bangkok.
The ceremony was attended by Dr Tanom Intarakumnerd.
Chairman, Suan Dusit University; Dr Pomchanit Kaewnate, Vice President, Suan Dusit University; Prof W Chandbabu Singh, Vice Chancellor of both MTU and DMU; Dr RK Joteen Singh, Registrar, DMU; and Ramananda Nongmeikapam, Registrar, MTU.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr Tanom welcomed the partnership and emphasized Suan Dusit University's commitment to fostering global academic cooperation, cultural understanding, and opportunities for collective growth.
Dr Tanom also reaffirmed that the simultaneous signing of partnership agreements is a powerful symbol.
"It represents shared determination and a unified vision for a future in which education transcends geographical, cultural, and institutional boundaries.
It affirms to the world that the pursuit of global learning is not a solitary endeavour, but a collaborative journey undertaken together", he added.
Prof W Chandbabu expressed gratitude to Suan Dusit University for the warm hospitality and outlined the significance of the MoU for the higher education landscape in Manipur.
He stressed that the collaboration would enhance academic quality, broaden international exposure for students and faculty, and support research and innovation across diverse disciplines.
He further underscored that such partnerships are crucial for preparing students for a rapidly evolving global environment.
As per a joint statement issued by DMU and MTU, the MoU covers a wide range of collaborative initiatives, including student and faculty exchange programmes, twinning of academic programmes, development of joint degree and dual degree pathways, technical training, and language education.
The institutions also agreed to explore cooperation in technical education, language and communication, capacity building, research projects, and cultural exchange activities.
The partnership marks a significant step between the partnering Universities toward strengthening educational ties and opens new avenues for academic excellence and international engagement.
Deans of schools, senior faculty members and students of Suan Dusit University also participated in the MoU signing ceremony.
The team led by Prof W Chandbabu also visited Kasetsart University as well as Suphanburi campus of Suan Dusit University.
