Road Safety Month observed at Kamjong, Kakching

In culmination of the observation of the National Road Safety Month 2025, the District Administration Kamjong today organized a commemoration programme on Monday at Town Hall of Kamjong DHQ.
The event was attended by a large gathering who stepped forward in promoting road safety.
The chief guest of the programme Rangnamei Rang Peter, IAS, Deputy Commissioner, Kamjong, while addressing the gathering highlighted the roles and responsibilities of several agencies involved in managing public roles, and emphasized on key measures and practices for road safety.
He reiterated the youth to spread awareness to reduce accident fatalities and injuries.
HL Jain, MCS, ADC Kamjong stressed on the importance of knowledge on traffic rules and regulations in order to safeguard public life and maintain tranquil roads.
Ningshem Vashum, IPS, SP of Kamjong who graced the occasion as the guest of honour urged the gathering to step forward in promoting road safety.
He asserted that road safety measures should become a shared responsibility for all young and old in establishing a safe environment for all.
As part of the event, prize distribution for District Level Quiz Competition and Painting Competition were also distributed.
Meanwhile, 36th National Road Safety Month, 2025 was also observed today at Kakching bazar organized by District Administration Kakching in collaboration with District Transport Office, Thoubal.
The event held under the theme "Parwas" was attended by Additional Deputy Commissioner, Kakching, M Kapajit, Additional SP Law and Order, A Romendro, DTO Thoubal, Hemochandra Irengbam, SDO Kakching, Khedananda Potshangbam along with officials and staff of District Transport Office, Thoubal.
As part of the programme, riders without helmets were distributed helmets by District Administration Kakching.
