Imphal, February 27 2026: A 10-member media team from various media houses in Manipur returned to Imphal today after participating in a five-day Press Tour in Kochi and Trivandrum, Kerala, organised by the Press Information Bureau (PIB) .

Upon their arrival at the Bir Tikendrajit International Airport, the team was warmly received by the Organising Committee of the upcoming 4th National Martial Arts Games 2026, scheduled to be held at Khuman Lampak, Imphal, from April 16 to 20 .

The media team was led by PIB Assistant Director M Rustum, accompanied by PIB Information Assistant Rabichandra Th, making a total of 12 members in the touring party.

The reception committee at the airport included Dr Norendro Thokchom, president; Dr Santikumar Khoi, organising secretary; and Dr Huidrom Romen, joint secretary of the 4th National Martial Arts Games 2026 Organising Committee.

They welcomed the media persons by presenting them with traditional shawls.

During their time in Kerala, the media team visited key locations such as the Kerala Institute Water Metro System and the Indian Institute of Science & Technology.

The purpose of the tour was for the media persons to observe development projects in Kerala and assess which similar developmental initiatives could be implemented in Manipur.
