Realizing need for an efficient communication network, provision of public infrastructure and governance as basic necessities for upliftment and development of the land and its people, Zomi Re-unification Organisation (ZRO) said it will henceforth supervise and monitor execution of such developmental works.
"The ministry of home affairs is really concerned and with utmost interest will scrutinise execution of various developmental works being initiated by state and central Governments," said a release issued by Kenneth, Secretary Ministry of Home Affairs ZRO.
With regard to their notification the secretary said, all works that are currently in progress or are yet to be started should be executed and completed in total compliance with quality specifications and within the stipulated time under the schemes.
There shall be no variation in any aspect from that is stipulated, specified or established by the agencies or departments.
Those developmental works that are already executed under various schemes but are unfit to serve its purposes and wanting in quality or does not meet its specification shall be rectified and repaired within a period of two months � 'sixty days from the date of issuance of this notification' by the party concern, it decreed.
It further maintained that any resource needed to make the works fit for use should be borne by the party responsible, and that any one failing to comply with its directive under the notification shall be construed as public enemy liable for punishment.
